Fashion trends that you should NOT be carrying in 2018

Fashion trends that you should NOT be carrying in 2018
2017 is coming to an end and we are still wondering where did all that time go? Fashion is cyclic, we have trends come in and go. While 2017 gave us some noteworthy fashion must-haves, it also gave us a list of pieces that we need to discard and definitely NOT carry to 2018. So check them out!
Thigh high slits
The biggest NO goes to thigh high slits. We are both bored and fed up with this one particular trend. When Angelina Jolie carried this style to Oscars 2012, there was nothing like it. The actress pulled it off with extreme oomph, elegance and poise. Back here in Bollywood, almost everyone is picking up this trend whether it suits them or no. From Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif to Madhuri Dixit, this trend is majorly done to death and we only hope that stylists scrap this style altogether.

Ripped Jeans
Well yes, ripped it pretty much out. With the 70s and 80s gaining prominence in and making their place, it’s time for us to bid adieu to our ripped jeans. Opt for denim jeans in shades of blues and with a flared or skinny fit silhouette. Embroidery and embellishments are already a major rage and will be carried forward to 2018 too, so invest in these jeans as they are going to be a major hit.
Slogan T-shirt
We can probably never thank Maria Grazia Chiuri, artistic director, Dior, enough for the uproar she brought in the fashion market with her “We are all feminist” t-shirt in S/S’17 collection. Ever since then, caption t-shirts have widely picked up. Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and many more actresses have been spotted wearing this style but I believe it’s best to leave this trend in 2017 and rather opt for graphics.
Bardot
We cannot help but accept that this trend looks fabulous on almost every girl. The bardot held a strong ground in 2016 and 17. One-shoulder, however, has been sliding heavily into the frame and thus it is only fair that we top being fashion laggards and leave this trend behind.

Millennial Pink
This hue of pink was a major blockbuster this year, we had everyone sporting this colour be it in sarees, dresses, shoes or bags. Millennial pink saw a major rise but followed a slow decline as well and with ultra violet being declared the colour of the year, we think it’s time for us to dress up in more cosmic shades.
Crop Tops
Like mentioned earlier, the 70s and 80s are kicking in big and with that the 90s are losing their grip. Crop tops have stayed in the fashion market for quite some time now. This roaring trend complimented everything from lehengas to jeans to skirts but we believe that it has met its end mark and is that one trend which should surely not be carried forward in 2018.
Chokers
Another high from the 90s. Chokers are done over and over again. Be it in velvet, lace, stones or wire; chokers have been done over and over again and should definitely not be carried forward in 2018. #StrictNo
While we go and chuck all these pieces from our wardrobes, you tell us if you agree with us or no.

Follow and stay connected with fashion and style.
