Pantone announced the color of 2018, and it’s elite, sassy and all about style

Pantone announced the color of 2018, and it’s elite, sassy and all about style
Every year in December, Pantone announces the "Color of the Year". The selected colour is chosen after thorough research based on the various global scenarios, conditions and trend-forecasting. Pantone Color Institute has been declaring the “Color of the Year” since 2000; while last year the chosen colour was derived from nature - Greenery; this time around it revolves around the cosmos.
Pantone recently declared the chosen colour on their official Instagram account. They posted a short clip and captioned it saying,
Lighting the way for the year ahead, Pantone announces PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet as the Color of the Year 2018! A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, #UltraViolet communicates originality, ingenuity and visionary thinking that points us to the future.”
(L-R: Gucci, Area, Rochas)
The gorgeous ultra-violet colour boasts of elegance, supremacy, poise and oodles of style. The colour is a statement in itself and becomes an instant highlight of your entire appearance. We saw many powerhouse brands showcasing this colour at the Spring/Summer’18 Fashion Week. The colour teamed with velvet is a combination apart, something that we could see in Gucci’s collection for S/S’18.
Be it an outfit, accessory or footwear, don this colour and slay it with complete style. Comment and let us know if you like the chosen colour too.

The best high-fashion moments of 2017

The best high-fashion moments of 2017
2017 was packed with fashionable moments that took our breath away. We still haven't woken up from the technicolor dream that was Tessa Thompson's Rosie Assoulin dress at the Emmys.
The 'Grown-ish' girl wears Prada. Yara Shahidi looked ethereal at the Emmys in a flesh-toned tulle gown with airy cap sleeves.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw's iridescent Emmys gown by BOSS, appears to have been sprinkled with fairy dust.
We're simply 'Mad' about Kiernan Shipka's Miu Miu dress. "I saw it on the rack and I kind of knew I wanted something sparkly and simple and beautiful," Shipka told USA TODAY at the Emmys.
At the Golden Globes, Jessica Biel donned an Elie Saab gown worthy of a moment of silence.
With its plunging rectangular neckline, Kristen Bell's sequin Jenny Packham gown sent us to 'The Good Place.' Her soft waves and make-up were also on point.
Lily Collins dreamy, dusty rose Zuhair Murad gown also left us quite speechless.
Kirsten Dunst brought the drama to the Academy Awards in her strapless Dior gown with full bell skirt. The look is simply timeless.
Speaking of accolades, we weren't on the 'Fences' about Viola Davis' halter neck Armani Prive design.
We wouldn't change a thing about the divine fantasy that is Hailee Steinfeld's Ralph & Russo gown. The scalloped edges and floral detailing are beautifully soft and feminine.
Oh, Oscar de la Renta. The severe neckline of Brie Larson's dress paired with its ruffly train is pure magic.
Octavia Spencer's off-the-shoulder Marchesa number was a winning look with its full and whimsical skirt adorned with feathers.
Emma Stone looked gorgeous in a beaded Givenchy gown with playful fringe skirt. Her red locks and lip were the perfect complement.
Ruth Negga swapped from silver to something a little more vibrant. The Oscar de la Renta frock had the perfect pops of color.
Tracee Ellis Ross' Zuhair Murad gown was absolute perfection. Bell sleeves, a layered skirt and intricate bead work added visual interest.
'Wow,' is the first thought that comes to mind when we lay our eyes on Amy Adams in this light-reflecting Tom Ford gown.
The hue of Kate Bosworth's locks perfectly complemented her baby blue J. Mendel ballgown.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for this Reem Acra frock. Taraji P. Henson looked amazing at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in the orchid design with sheer bodice.
At the same event, Michelle Dockery also did not shy away from color, opting for a vivid, striped Elie Saab number.
At the Met Gala, Zendaya looked like a living, breathing piece of art in her bird and floral-printed Dolce & Gabbana number.
Rihanna put the petal to the medal in this Comme des Garçons celebrating "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between."
Kerry Washington's blunt bob and her futuristic Michael Kors frock offered an exciting amount of edge.
We would've also flocked to Atelier Versace for the gilded number Blake Lively wore with an ombre feather train.
Orange you envious of Jessica Chastain's Amarni Prive look from the Cannes Film Festival?
There were several looks we loved from the film festival, including Winnie Harlow's electric Zuhair Murad frock.
Jourdan Dunn was picture perfect in an Elie Saab gown embellished with sequin evil eyes.
We Cannes not believe how good Uma Thurman looks in this pale link, off-the-shoulder Atelier Versace design.
Nicole Kidman was perfection at a screening on 'The Beguiled' at Cannes in a silver Michael Kors creation with winding fringe.
The train on Kendall Jenner's Giambattista Valli minidress was beautifully photogenic.
Naomie Harris' tulle Gucci gown was a winning look with its citrusy palette.
At the Venice Film Festival, Stella Maxwell walked the red carpet in a form-grazing, pale blush Twinset gown.
Rebecca Hall's spaghetti strap Giorgio Armani column gown with a deep v-neckline feels clean and modern.
On the arm of her hubby, George Clooney, during the Venice Film Festival, Amal Clooney channeled a Hollywood starlet of yesteryear in a lilac Versace dress.
Susan Sarandon appeared to be feeling herself in this curve-hugging Boss gown with pink lining.
Cardi B enjoyed a full-on Cinderella moment in a voluminous Christian Siriano gown at this year's Diamond Ball.
