Meghan Markle may never be Queen of England, but she could reign supreme in the style stakes.
The former Suits actress is officially betrothed to Prince Harry, meaning that we will be seeing a lot more of the stylish LA beauty in the future.
With Meghan expected to take on an official role at Kensington Palace next year following her Royal wedding, it looks like there could be a battle of ‘who wore it best’ underway between herself and Kate.
And it looks like Meghan is already winning.
Global fashion search engine, Lyst, has compiled a list of the top 10 most powerful celebrity fashion influencers of 2017 and according to the Sunday Times, both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle made the cut.
Rihanna, Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid are all in the top three, while Prince Harry’s intended, Meghan Markle appears at number four.

Right behind Meghan is Kate Middleton at number five, beating the First Lady, Melania Trump who appears at number six.
When compiling the list, Lyst communications director Katy Lubin explained: ‘We monitored the increase in searches created by some of their most talked-about outfits.’
Lubin also explained that the ‘Kate effect’ has had a major impact on fashion trends, yet the designers that Meghan Markle has worn have altered the online search dynamics.
Brands worn recently by Meghan such as Misha Nonoo, Mackage and Sarah Flint have seen a distinct spike in popularity.
Meghan’s first appearance with Prince Harry occurred earlier this year at the Invictus games, where she wore a white Misha Nonoo shirt and a Mackage Baya burgundy leather jacket.
According to Lyst , of the top 10 ‘most searched for items of clothing,’ six were worn by Meghan Markle.
Looks like the ‘Kate Effect’ might be replaced by the ‘Meghan Effect’ in the future.
