Melania Trump's looks almost always spark conversation, at the very least. Whether it's the price tag that's stirring the pot, inciting controversy on Twitter, or the bright colors she pulls off, her 2017 outfits have definitely not been boring. Twenty nine of them are worth mentioning, in our opinion. Some were highly sophisticated or ultraluxurious, and others were surprisingly affordable. No matter how you look at the dresses and suits ahead, you can't deny that Melania's up on her fashion game, and we predict she'll stay in her zone for 2018.
MELANIA IN CEFFIN, OCTOBER
Melania wore this green shirt dress from Ceffin, a label founded by the British prime minister's wife Samantha Cameron, but her accessories (including that wide crocodile belt!) were key. Her Christian Louboutin rainbow stilettos stood out a mile when she boarded a plane to visit Lily's Place in West Virginia.

Melania wore this $1,500 Balmain flannel for a trip to the White House garden, completing the outfit with Converse.
MELANIA IN DELPOZO, SEPTEMBER
Melania's voluminous, hot pink Delpozo dress definitely spiked controversy. While we're fans of taking a style risk in a bright design, some people felt the avant-garde look distracted from her speech on bullying at the UN.

Melania's $7,995 silver capelet gown sparkled at the front of the room while Donald Trump gave a speech in the State Dining Room during a reception.

Melania wore a Calvin Klein contrast-pocket shirt from Raf Simmons's first collection for the brand. She styled the top with an Hermès Birkin bag and beige flats upon arrival at the White House.

Melania made a floral, Resort 2017 Valentino fit-and-flare even brighter with the addition of blue suede pumps on Bastille Day in Paris.
MELANIA IN HERVÉ PIERRE, JULY
Melania's stylist, Hervé Pierre, customized this dress for her to wear for dinner at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It paid homage to both the American and French flags, and the gathering at the center was made to resemble wheat, which spoke to the Summer season.
MELANIA IN DIOR, JULY
Melania arrived in Paris wearing this Dior skirt suit. Hervé Pierre explained that it was chosen to celebrate Dior's 70th anniversary. The look was complete with matching pumps.
MELANIA IN JIL SANDER AND BOTTEGA VENETA, JULY
Melania wore this elegant combination of a look while attending the G20 Summit in Germany. Her Bottega Veneta cashmere coat and belted Jil Sander graphic dress was played up by Manolo Blahnik heels.

For a visit to the Vatican to meet Pope Francis, Melania completed her black lace ">Dolce & Gabbana suit set with a delicate head scarf.
MELANIA IN HERVÉ PIERRE, APRIL
Melania's stylist created this sugar-pink midi dress for her, cut right above the ankle so she could show off her powder pink flats during the White House Easter Egg Roll.
MELANIA IN VALENTINO, APRIL
Melania wore this $5,490 Valentino dress to welcome the Chinese president and his wife to the White House. The midi's red shade was meant to represent luck as it does in Chinese culture. She completed her outfit with contrast Christian Louboutin heels.
MELANIA IN GIVENCHY, FEBRUARY
The FLOTUS wore this red Givenchy cape dress with a pair of simple Christian Louboutin flats on a trip to the Trump Mar-a-Lago Resort in Palm Beach, Florida. The look was decidedly casual and gave off obvious vacation vibes immediately following the inauguration.
MELANIA IN HERVÉ PIERRE, JANUARY
Melania's custom Hervé Pierre inaugural gown was considered a collaboration. The design is now on display in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
MELANIA IN REEM ACRA, JANUARY
The night before the inauguration, Melania attended a dinner at Union Station in Washington DC wearing this flashy, gold, floor-length gown from Reem Acra.
