The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) ended on a style high with some really great designs being showcased on the red carpet. Katrina Kaif, Bhumi Pednekar and Huma Qureshi, among several others, experimented with cuts and colours that got heads turning. While many chose to go with fusion as the flavour of the day, others wowed us with their contemporary numbers. Among the men, Sidharth Malhotra and Karan Johar really make a statement. To see who wore what at the glamorous gala, check out the pictures here and don't forget to let us know your favourite.
Katrina Kaif chose an off-shoulder crop top with balloon sleeves, which she paired with a matching lehenga skirt, embellished with golden chrysanthemums from the house of Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She accessorised it with sapphire and pearl earrings from Sunita Shekhawat and we think Kaif surely took the cake for being super elegant this time.
Bhumi Pednekar donned a dove-grey gown by Gaurav Gupta and we were floored by the grace with which she pulled off the structure and cuts in her outfit. A round of applause for stylist Aastha Sharma for choosing the rather unusual colour for a day event – we think it worked very well.
Huma Qureshi was resplendent in a Falguni and Shane Peacock gown and we love the sheer and feather detail that up the ante of her gorgeous outfit. Stylist Aastha Sharma accessorised it with a chic pair of earrings, and the actor's soft curls rounded out her look nicely.
Pooja Hegde stepped out in a charming rust red gown from Jade by Monica and Karishma. We like the lace and sheer detailing on the blouse, which was cold-shoulder style. For the accessories, stylist Tanya Ghavri chose statement earrings and a statement neckpiece from Shree Paramani Jewels. Pin-straight hair and dewy make-up rounded out her look
Sidharth Malhotra looked dapper in a black kurta, which he paired with pants in the same colour. A blue jacket was a suave addition to the actor's eye-catching look. He rounded out his look with shades and black shoes and we think he nailed the look
Sonali Bendre who hosted the closing ceremony of IFFI donned a chic reddish-orange sari, which she teamed with a golden blouse, adding a nice metallic detail to her attire. Bendre styled her sari with a belt and we like the touch of fusion that her attire exuded. A cuff bracelet and soft curls added finishing touches to her look.
